The Shack by Wm. Paul Young

The Shack
It's a great book. It pushes God outside of the box we've all relegated Him to. It forces our concept of God to change-if only temporarily.
And who hasn't experienced "The Great Sadness" sometime?

Gotta read it. Would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I agree..see my review of The Shack on my blog. Theres more Catholicism in Youngs approach than even He knows...relational theology and the whole Free-will emphasis by Papa.
    Loved it.

And any good relationship can afford to be open to new ideas about The Other. I don't have to accept them all as part of my Creed, but they do expand my world. Thanks for your comment!

  3. After seeing this book advertized I did not think it would come close to anything invigorating or challenging - this certainly was not the case - the book actually has changed my life. I cannot see God the way I understood him before. Every aspect of theology is addressed in a narrative way that invigorates, challenges and draws the reader in to an understanding of a God who loves deeply and cares compassionately.
